Anybody, I suppose, with the right manufacturing equipment and a good lobbyist could have done what KV did. A request for comment from the company, which is based in St. Louis, has not elicited a response. KV appears to have hired a public relations firm, Golin Harris, to deal with resulting backlash. Coincidentally KV’s former CEO was sentenced to prison yesterday for mislabeling morphine pills–in a move unrelated to the pricing of 17P.
