This was a message I found on my corporate Yammer feed this morning. If you’ve not heard of it, Yammer is a shameless copy of Twitter intended to be used at corporations - inside the firewall and closed from public view. In essence, it works just like Twitter. For instance, you have to sign up for it. And if you decide you don’t want to use it anymore, you have to deactivate your account through a web administration panel.
This person seems to think they can simply “tweet” “[please remove me from yammer],” to be removed. I’m sure the the square brackets somehow help the computer to understand that this is a command. This guy probably also picks up his mouse, holds it to his mouth and says, “Computer, print screen.”
Knowing what we know about Mr. Voice Command, what would you assume his title is? Well, I for one would not assume it’s “Director, IT Service Management.”
